This is a nice service worn WWII M3 U. S. fighting knife, made by the rare extremely hard to find maker, Aerial Cutlery Corp of Marinette, Wisconsin. With the marking on the crossguard, this is the 3rd pattern. It comes in a custom leather scabbard. These fighting knives were preferred by American infantry during World War Two for hand to hand combat. This knife is mid war production, and is marked on the crossguard
