Here is an octagonal barreled "Kentucky" style rifle, which more correctly is known as a Pennsylvania Rifle. It is in the standard caliber we usually see these in, . 39", and has a very heavy barrel. The rifle was built in the United States using a percussion lock made by James Golcher of Philadelphia, who operated in the 1820s 1830s.
